Buddhism teaches that there are Six Indriyas or sense-organs. They are eye, ear, nose, tongue, body and … mind.

ADD-Apt or get out!

I had this brilliant idea that, as is often the case, started out as a joke. I stated on facebook that I was going to start a website called ADD-Verse for ADHD poets to publish their work. The idea was taken seriously so the site was begun. http://addverse.wordpress.com

I ain’t a rainbow kinda guy!

You know, I’m not all rainbows and moonbeams and flower power. Okay, I do appreciate the beauty around me, hell, I photograph things like this more than I do people. Maybe I am, to some extent, somewhat about rainbows. But I’m mud and grease and rocks and “rock and roll” too. I think I’m half way between hippie and suit most of the time. View full article »

Big Government, Small minds …

On the subject of politics, I often appear to be indifferent. I would caution you from making the mistake of thinking I don’t care. The truth is that I don’t care to join the fray of common government bashing. The things that are complained about are usually orchestrated, pointed out by the opposition. Nor do I care to invest much time in following the latest government and opposition announcements and policies. They are often smoke and mirrors tactics designed to create unrest and draw attention away from incompetence and mismanagement. View full article »

That’s right, I’m Canadian, or ‘Canajun’ as Mark M. Orkin says in his book “Canajun, Eh?” This book is a lark, a spoof reference that pretends to be a dictionary of Canadian english. In actuality, it is a comprehensive list of the shibboleths that give us away in international company, complete with phonetic spelling.
